With 3G and 4G services becoming common all over the world, people expect to be able to get information about the products and services they use on the go and, more and more, those companies that make an effort to reach out to their customers over their smartphones are being rewarded.</p>
<p>If you sign up for a cellular contract these days, you&#8217;ll see that most of the recommended handsets have sophisticated browsing features. In fact, these devices oftentimes allow people to serve the mobile Internet as conveniently and usefully as they could surf the Internet at their desktop computers in their own homes. <p>While other companies in China have already taken advantage of the iPhone market, this markets a significant change for China Telecom who will now be able to expand their lineup of mobile phones, smartphones, and other mobile devices with one of the most revolutionary products on the market. The company had expressed interest earlier in the year after the release of the iPhone 4S, and this may have prompted the actions that have been taken to ensure that China Telecom will become one of the country’s iPhone providers.</p>
<p>The device that will be compatible with China Telecom is still in the works, and it will expand the sales of Apple’s iPhone considerably. As of now, the device is offered in Apple retail stores, from resellers, and through China Unicom. With China Telecom becoming part of this rapidly growing industry, people will now have the opportunity to purchase the iPhone from a variety of carriers.</p>
<p>This marks the significant change that has taken place in the mobile industry since Apple began creating the iPhone, and Chinese telecom companies will also be able to offer this device. <h2>Qualification and Essential Requirements</h2>
<p>The candidate should have a degree from a reputed university in marketing, business administration or economics. Should be fluent in English and Spanish. Additional exposure to digital technology, design or masters degree will be our strong preference. We require the manager to have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in marketing and working in a similar role.</p>
<h2>Main Role</h2>
<p>A brief description of the role of the marketing manager is available below, although the marketing manager should be flexible and keen to take on further roles as required.</p>
<p><strong>Brand Management</strong> Project managing the development of the new brand and making sure that all departments within the organisation follow the guidelines and stationary provided. Occasionally the marketing manager will be required to develop new stationary via external agencies. The entire process needs to be project managed and verified by the management.</p>
<p><strong>Event Planning / Launching</strong> Planning and coordinating complete events in Madrid and Latin America. When events are organised abroad the marketing manager will work with local country managers and external agencies to deliver the event.</p>
<p><strong>Planning budgets and timelines</strong> the marketing manager is required to work with marketing director to prepare a blueprint with targets, budgets and timelines for various activity for the forthcoming months.</p>
<p><strong>Internal Communication / Events</strong> Work with Director of Human Resources to plan and organise internal communication and events as and when required.</p>
<p><strong>Product Marketing </strong>Preparing branding, conceptualising and launching new products to our customers by working with commercial, operations and technical department.</p>
<p><strong>Press Releases</strong> Occasionally develop press releases and news articles to go on the website and other news channels. Further, working with news agencies or PR organisations in regards to company related news and press opportunities.</p>
